Product Owner - Digital Products

As a Product Owner - Digital Products, you will own the Supplier Relationship Management and Value-Added Services product domain of a global market leader in chemical and ingredients distribution. Following the global rollout of its Salesforce platforms, the company is moving from implementation to value realization: better supplier collaboration, stronger product lifecycle management and scalable innovation capabilities delivered through a global network of Innovation Centres and laboratories.

On one side, you will shape how the company collaborates with chemical suppliers across the full product lifecycle, and how that collaboration contributes to the right product portfolio and to customer success. On the other, you will enable and scale value creation through the Innovation Centres, supporting innovation-to-order processes, formulation development and measurable customer outcomes. Your work will directly influence how Chemical Product & Industry Managers operate, how suppliers experience the company as a strategic partner and how innovation is translated into commercial value. You will lead a cross-functional product team and work closely with business stakeholders, architects and Salesforce partners to define product vision, strategy and roadmap.

Your Role and Responsibilities:

• Stakeholder Engagement & Product Strategy: Own the product vision and roadmap for Supplier Relationship Management and Value-Added Services, aligned with business strategy, supplier and customer needs and measurable outcomes. Partner closely with chemical product and industry managers, innovation and laboratory teams and supplier-facing teams to understand problem spaces and turn them into high-impact product initiatives. Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, global business process experts and technical teams.
• Roadmap & Execution: Develop and maintain a roadmap that balances short-term value delivery with long-term capability maturity. Prioritize and sequence product increments based on business impact, customer value and technical feasibility, working closely with business process experts, design and Salesforce partners to optimize user experience and workflow automation.
• Discovery, Delivery & Adoption: Lead end-to-end product discovery and delivery, from problem framing, solution discovery and experimentation to implementation and continuous improvement. Drive adoption and impact by ensuring solutions are intuitive, integrated and actively used by product managers, innovation teams and supplier-facing roles.
• Ways of Working & Governance: Lead a cross-functional product team and champion product thinking and Agile ways of working, with a strong focus on outcomes over outputs. Ensure alignment with enterprise Salesforce governance, security and compliance standards while evolving capabilities through automation and AI-enabled solutions.

Your Skills and Experiences:

• Proven experience as a Product Owner in a corporate commercial area.
• Hands-on experience with one or several Salesforce Clouds (Sales, Service, SRM, Marketing, Revenue, others): you understand platforms well enough to hold a deep conversation with architects and developers, and you have led one or several functional tracks and can share a success story.
• Proven ability to lead product teams with diverse profiles and roles.
• Track record of defining success metrics.
• Experience as a Product Owner in a B2B environment is a strong advantage.
• Experience in global, matrixed organisations with regional complexity is a strong advantage.
• Understanding of supplier management and innovation-to-order domains is a strong advantage.
• Salesforce certifications are useful context, not a substitute for product judgment.
• Fluency in English (spoken and written) is essential; German is a plus.
